I. Mercedes-Benz CLA/GLB: Luxury new energy cars
In 2026, Mercedes will release several updated models. The GLB SUV will come in 5- and 7-seat options. It will have a nicer inside, more room, and a panoramic sunroof as standard. You can also get the MBUX wide screen. Both hybrid and pure electric versions will be available. The electric version can go 162 miles on a 10-minute charge. The CLA will also have electric and hybrid versions. The electric CLA starts at around $47,000 and can go 374 miles. It uses 800-volt fast charging, and Mercedes bosses say it will address range concerns.
II. Kia K4 Hatchback: Affordable and practical
The Kia K4 hatchback debuted in April and should be available early 2026, starting at $24,890. It has a lot of trunk space. You can get it with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine or a 1.6T turbocharged engine. Kia will also launch a hybrid version of the Telluride at the same time. It will have 329 horsepower and a 600-mile range. It is expected in the first quarter of 2026. Its design is said to rival the Land Rover Range Rover, with an estimated starting price around $40,000.

III. Chevy Bolt: An affordable electric car is back
The 2027 Chevy Bolt will return in a limited run, starting under $30,000. It will have a 255-mile range and charge 2.5 times faster than the old model. It will also support the North American charging standard and include safety features like Super Cruise. This car keeps the practical benefits of the previous model while adding new tech. It's a good electric car option for those on a budget.
